I wanted to see Dr Clairwood because my Primary Dr found some suspicious moles on my back. I called for an appointment and was told the 1st appointment I could get would be April or May of 2027. I could be well into a melanoma by that time. In addition I was told I would need a reference from my Dr. I’m on Medicare which does not need a reference but this dermatology office doesn’t care. Why should I even bother if I can’t get an appointment until April or May. I have nothing against Dr Clairwood but as a Member of Hartford Healthcare I couldn’t be more disappointed. This office truly has no concern for the patient

The doctor is excellent, however making contact with the office was, actually, impossible. I wanted to see the doctor earlier than my appointment for an issue that was causing me pain. Multiple messages were left. Even if the phone call was returned it would necessitate my calling back again.....and again, getting a recording with an invitation to leave a message. Again and again. This was unacceptable. I have been assured that more staff is on hand now. We'll see.

She is lovely, kind and very patient centered. Think of everything that is off-putting by HHC and she is the opposite. Other day s coul learn from her. The care is spot on. I know I will always be properly cared for without the usual HHC office politics. REFRESHING!

Dr. Clairwood was excellent. Unfortunately, the staff gave in to a walk-in patient with a non-emergency demand to see the doctor right away because she didn't want to wait. Also, patients with appointments after me were seen ahead of me. No explanation was given.

The staff at this Cheshire office are always so friendly and accommodating. They make you feel comfortable the minute you walk into the office.

Dr. Clairwood is amazing, however the office keeps canceling my appointments. I have been trying to call to reschedule and no one ever picks up the phone. I work in healthcare and cannot sit on hold for hours waiting to get someone. This has been an ongoing issue for 6 months at least.

I've just had my third annual full body check with Dr. Clairwood, and I can't praise her and her staff highly enough. They check all the boxes: cleanliness, thoroughness, efficiency, and above all kindness. If the Dr. spots something suspicious, she removes it right away, doesn't make you return for another visit, and results are reported to you promptly, regardless of outcome. There may be a long wait for a new patient appointment, but it is well worth it and you have the option of getting on a waitlist for cancellations. Highest marks. Update: I just visited Dr. Clairwood for a recheck of a suspicious mole she removed. Thankfully, all was well -- and, as always, I was impressed by the kindness and thoroughness of the Dr. and her assistant Amor. I have recommended family and friends to this practice, and I do hope they go!
