Dr. Brutus is my favorite and unforgettable Doctor! She has so many qualities and she is more than AMAZING since day one I met her. Dr. Brutus and her staff are the best I have ever encountered. In a very stressful situation, they immediately made me feel more comfortable explaining what was going to happen and then they stop along the way for questions and patiently and carefully answer everything. Dr. Brutus has a rare combination of depth of knowledge and skill, ability to teach and explain, and the best bedside manner I've ever experienced with a doctor. She anticipates questions and then if you still have some questions left, she very patiently answers them. She read either the tone of my voice, a facial expression, or body language to know when to show extra compassion. I feel very fortunate that I had Dr. Brutus to perform my surgery and get me through one of the most difficult things I've experienced.

​I cannot recommend Dr. Valerie Brutus highly enough. From our very first meeting, her exceptional empathy and professionalism stood out. Going through a cancer diagnosis is incredibly overwhelming, but with Dr. Brutus, you never feel abandoned. She follows you with genuine care and dedication from the beginning to the very end of the process. Even through telehealth visits between Florida and Connecticut, I felt completely supported and heard. She is truly an outstanding surgeon and a wonderful human being.
