The doctor suggested medications, none of which my insurance would cover but I chose to pay out of pocket.

Initially when she walked in, she had confused some of the information on my chart, which made our initial conversation a little confusing and awkward.It would be helpful to remind the care providers of that most patients are feeling incredibly vulnerable, and that some of us have complex histories that involve trauma regarding our reproductive health and female anatomy. I think there are ways as a practice to make sure that the utmost care is given, perhaps assuming that everybody is starting from that place and adjusting accordingly.Also, this has nothing to do with the Doctor (who is great by the way), but the layout of the room does not feel safe and secure. Dr Sappenfield performed bladder prolapse and hysterectomy along with a couple of other corrections. She answered all my questions and I was provided with step by step instructions for prior, during and after surgery. Highly recommend
