Dr. Yanamadala could not have been more attentive and kind from the initial conference on my required lumbar, AND later cervical surgery (7 vertebre with 2 rods & 14 screws in my neck). Due this his credentials and "bedside" manner, I felt totally confident having him as my spine surgeon!

It has been my experience in the past that some doctors just want to impart their knowledge to leave the patient in awe and "kneel at the dr's feet." Dr. Yanamadala is NOT like that - it's truly evident he cares for his patients and wants the very best for them. That's why I have selected him to perform my spinal surgery.

Dr. Yanamadala gave me my life back. I suffered for years and he solved the problem. He is also very kind and personable. He listens and never makes you feel rushed. When I had some complications after my surgery, he was totally available to help me through it. He's the best doctor!

This is the best neurosurgeon kind he is compassionate. He explains everything never rushes. Does excellent surgery gave me my life back. I am so glad that I have Dr Yanamadala And the entire St. Vincent‘s Hospital staff and the nurse navigators everyone is very supportive. I had a cervical spinal fusion and no longer have pain or difficulty lifting my left arm. I am now back to my artwork . I can’t say enough about the excellent care I received if anyone’s looking for a neurosurgeon for spinal issues I highly recommend Dr and his team.

I first saw Dr. Yanamandala in early 2025 when I visited Hartford Health Care's Spine and Neurosurgical Center in Westport. He ordered testing to determine the condition of my spine and referred me for pain management and physical therapy. He did not jump immediately to surgery as the solution to my condition. After a few months of intermediate treatments, I met with Dr. Yanamandala again. We reviewed the x-ray and MRI images together, and he concurred with my suggestion that surgery seemed appropriate. A date was set for the surgery, and in the meantime I was asked to secure clearance form my cardiologist.On the day of surgery, Dr. Yanamandala met with me and my husband to discuss any last-minute questions. This surgery would require both fusion of the L4 and L5, plus the construction of a sheath to protect and allow the regeneration of nerves that had been crushed over time. I have had a follow-up visit with the neurosurgeon since the surgery and have another scheduled.Top marks!!
