My first experience with the urology group was very unfortunate. I requested a change of doctors for my follow up visit and was assigned to Dr. Katz. The difference was night and day: having been very upset and disappointed in my first, initial, appointment, the follow up with Dr. Katz met every expectation and more. I wish I had established my urology needs with him in the first place!

See addendum to this post at the end. Dr. Katz is competent, responsive, very easy to talk to if you have the opportunity. Dr. Katz seems to be too busy to spend time with family members ( in our case, a wife) to explain issues. I was invited to be present during the procedure so I could hear and understand the issues. ( Really??) With that being said, Dr Katz is friendly and competent. I don't think he's aware of the degree of anxiety family members feel and how much they appreciate the opportunity to understand and ask questions. In spite of that I never-the-less recommend Dr. Katz. 3/17/26 I would like to make note of the fact that Dr. Katz took very seriously my concern regarding a lack of accessibility to family for clarification of results and/ or questions. He has since made every possible effort to speak to me and explain everything. He is obviously a physician who is not only skilled and competent but one who is open to successful communication. I happily give five stars. Thank you Dr. Katz.
